Stuart Kent

Stuart is a Program Manager Architect in the Visual Studio Ultimate team at Microsoft.

Before joining Microsoft, he was an academic and consultant for more than 10 years. He was deeply involved in standardization work around UML 2 and MOF 2, and worked with clients such as BT, Nortel Networks and IBM. He held an Industrial Fellowship with the Royal Society, which he interrupted to join Microsoft.

He has published widely in refereed journals and conferences, is an associate editor for the Software and Systems Modeling Journal, and recently was general chair for the MoDELS conference.

He holds a PhD in Computing from Imperial College, London.
